A career of running a community initiative program where one is immersed in addressing social problems is a road less travelled by young professionals. Why? Maybe because addressing social problems present a different challenges compared to other eight-to-five job.
What makes a successful social entrepreneur? Social entrepreneurs are community initiative leaders who applies business models, principles, theories and practices to develop community programs. They initiate programs that focus how beneficiaries earn a gainful and sustenable way of living, thus leading communities out of their hardship by helping people how to help themselves. Social entrepreneurs are sometimes called society's "change agents" for their ability to identify social problems and to come up with innovative ideas and methods to address them.
An ideal social entrepreneur is passionate, has clear vision of the future, with technical expertise and exceptional social skills to make them an inspiring "change agents" from the rest of the crowd. Qualities and attributes such as these can make social entrepreneurship an easier road to take.
