Helping Young Entrepreneurs Think Big

February 7th 2007 10:56
Young and budding entrepreneurs always dream of someday hitting it BIG. The question that always comes to mind is this : "What is the best business advice you can give to young entrepreneurs?" If that is also your question, let me answer you by citing some experiences of seasoned entrepreneurs where we could learn priceless lesson from. Here's some tips top business people advice young people to do.

" Go for that something that tugs at your heart, inspires you, something that you've always been passionate about."

" Go with what you truly love to do. Come from your truth. Believe and have total faith that you have done your best. Everything else will flow! "

"Dare to dream. Don't limit yourself. Some people limit themselves even while dreaming or thinking of where they want to be or what they want to accomplish. If you don't know how to dream, how can your dreams come true? If other people have made it big and succeeded, why can't you? This should be the mindset of an entrepreneur. You should set daily, weekly and monthly goals in pursuit of your dream. Dare to be different. Don't be afraid to try new approaches to business. If you do the ordinary, don't expect extraordinary results."

" Entrepreneurship is putting into action what others can only think or dream about. It's knowing what you want and going after it with determination, perseverance and 100 percent commitment. Most importantly, entrepreneurs should never forget their blessings because it is doing so that success takes on a more significant meaning."

One of my favourite entrepreneurs is John D. Rockefeller. His life story for rising out of poverty to the zenith of wealth was remarkable. He grew up without a good father to guide him, he was a high school dropout who started out as a clerk and grew richer than Bill Gates of Microsoft and others. Rockefeller was an entrepreneural genius, driven, hardworking, a deeply religious Christian who started tithing or donating ten percent of his income upon receiving his first paycheck. Part of his genius was his ability to achieve alignment with his management team. His management team would use these habits with middle management and then middle management would use them to achieve alignment with the entire company.
