Artificial Flower Making : Opportunity to Earn Money for Entrepreneurs

June 28th 2007 10:15
Flowers are constant decorations in homes, office, and they can brighten up for any event. These are used for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and funerals. Even in this age of techno pop, flowers cheer people up and remains a symbol of love and friendship. Unfortunately, not everyone can afford with fresh flowers, as most of these are brought in from abroad.

A cheaper alternative is to make artificial flowers made of paper, fabric and silk for top-of-the-line products. The demand for artificial flowers presents another opportunity for housewives and employees with some spare time to earn extra money in these difficult times.

Making artificial flower does not require too many special materials. What is important is to acquire a flower iron which is used to iron in the grooves and veins of the leaves and flowers to make them as natural looking as possible. Other materials to acquire are cornstarch, paintbrush, white glue, cardboard, wooden laddle or spoon and a wide table to lay out the fabric.

here's the step to follow. The first is to trace the pattern of the petalsand leaves on either the paper, fabric or silk. It is important to iron the materials to remove the wrinkles that may appear when the fabric is hardened using cornstarch.

The pattern can be copied from real flowers to get the real size and shape. Once stiffened, the individual petals will be attached to other petals to make the flower. The leaves are then attached together with the stem made out of wire. These are wrapped using flower dye.

Beginning entrepreneurs could start out with flowers that have big petals like Anthurims or they could start experimenting with making roses.
